What we collect
The enquiry form on this website does not send anything by itself. It prepares a message in WhatsApp or in your email app, and you decide whether to send it. When you do, we receive what it contains: your name, email address, the kind of stay or service you are planning, the house you prefer, your travel dates, your group size, your agency or organisation and your message.
If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we receive what you send there.
The availability search
When you search for availability, your dates and the number of adults and children are sent to this website so that it can check CapeAura, SeaViu and VistaBlu. The search does not ask for your name or contact details, and your search is not stored.
When you choose Book, the house’s own website opens with the same dates and guest numbers. The privacy notice of that website applies there.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to you, to confirm availability, rates and arrangements, and to organise your stay and any services you ask for, such as airport transfers, tours or vehicle hire. A message is not a confirmed booking and no payment is taken on this website; availability, payment and booking conditions are confirmed separately with you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Analytics and cookies
When it is switched on, this website uses Google Analytics to understand visits in aggregate, such as page views, the buttons and links used, and general device and location information. Google Analytics uses cookies. It never receives your name, your contact details or the content of your messages.
Other services
WhatsApp, your email provider, Google Analytics and the websites of CapeAura, SeaViu and VistaBlu are separate services with their own privacy policies. WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies to messages you send there.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and your stay, or for as long as the law requires us to keep booking and payment records.
Your rights
You may ask us which personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may also object to how we use it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
